strange company.

Once upon a time I went to Europe.  I met this guy in Paris.  Despite my concerns for the random person talking to my friends and I, we let him buy us wine.  Because who turns down free wine?  We then let him buy us rabbit and duck.  Obviously.  Luckily for us traveling architecture students, Sacha Lakic turned out to be an extremely successful industrial designer.  So even more exciting than the free authentic french meal, was getting to have a great discussion on art and design.  Upon returning home and googling this stranger, I found that Lakic was most famous for his work with Venturi, a car company out of Monaco. His design for the Venturi Fetish was to become the first available two seater electric sports car in the world. With approximately only 25 vehicles being produced, it will cost you a pretty penny to get your hands on. $583,000 pretty pennies to be exact.  So the moral to this story is [sometimes] it pays to talk to strangers.  Other times it’s just fun to watch them drive away on the motorcycle they designed.
