This music monday is very special because it marks the release of my brother’s sophomore album, Nocturne.
And when you can’t sleep…know you aren’t the only one.
“There was a great deal of restlessness that went into the creation of this album. The moon cycle has come to represent this for me; a slowly changing symbol of where these songs feel most at home, a sleepless state of mind.”
Todays’s post is an obvious choice. Last week my little brother released a sneak peak of his upcoming album. He has sent me several songs that he has been working on lately, but this was the first time I heard the finished version of “Nowhere” myself. Teaming up with Twin Sisters’s Andrea Estella, the guest vocals give the song a wistful and dreamy character I am used to hearing from Wild Nothing. Granted this album proves to be a little different than the bedroom made Gemini, but I think people will be pleasantly surprised. The sound is super clean and so well organized. I can’t wait for the new album release so I can stop being tempted to leak these songs myself!

Starting off this brand new feature with not only one of my new obsessions, but a very fun cover as well…
Ever wondered what Katy Perry sounds like slowed down and remixed? Totally?! If you have then you are awesome. This should be every teenager’s dream.
